Modern measurement systems and modern software applications, such as FARO portable measurement systems, have set new standards in metrology and metrology software. FARO Technologies offers various kinds of inspection software, in conjunction with FARO portable measurement systems, known as the CAM2 software family: the CAM2 SPC Graph, the CAM2 Q, and the CAM2 Measure X.
The CAM2 software can also carry out tasks of high end softcheck tools. FARO also offers the FARO Scene software to work with the FARO Laser Scanner in obtaining accurate 3D data models. All software uses precise 3D measurement for CAD-to-part comparison and a variety of other tasks.
